Top Attractions In The College Station – Bryan Area

The Ritchey Ranch is located in College Station – Bryan Metropolitan area, home of Texas A&M University. Being a college town, the area features many fun activities for folks of all ages and interests without the hustle and bustle of the big city. Below are some of our favorite attractions.

Kyle FieldTexas A&M University

Texas A&M University – College Station is one of the oldest and largest public universities in the great state of Texas. Opening its doors in 1876, A&M has a military history with 7 Aggie Medal of Honor recipients and the Largest Corps of Cadets outside of the Service academies. Texas A&M also has many landmarks to visit such as the Century Tree, the Bonfire memorial, and Midnight Yell at Kyle Field. Texas A&M Aggies compete in many sports including football, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Volleyball, Women’s Soccer, and many others. Attending games and cheering on the home town Aggies can always be an entertaining experience. Texas A&M University is also home to President George H. W. Bush 41’s presidential library.

Outside of the University there are plenty of other fun activities to do around town. Right down the road from The Ritchey Ranch is The Messina Hof Winery, which features wine tastings and other special events throughout the year. There are also many golf courses including the campus course, Miramont Country Club, Pebble Creek Country Club, Traditions Country Club, Philips Event Center, and the Bryan Municiple Course. You can also visit the Benjamin Knox Art Gallery featuring many pieces revolving around Texas A&M. And lastly what’s a college town without night life. The two popular places are Northgate located right across the street from the A&M featuring many bars such as the famous Dixie Chicken. Historic downtown Bryan also features many bars and restaurants with an old time feel.
